White Quartz, also called Milky Quartz, is one of the most abundant varieties of quartz (SiO₂). Its white to translucent color results from the presence of microinclusions of fluids, gases or solid particles trapped during crystalline growth, which scatter light, preventing its uniform passage. Its formation occurs in hydrothermal veins, pegmatites and metamorphic rocks, where aqueous solutions rich in silica fill fractures and slowly solidify. The slower the crystallization and the greater the purity of the solution, the more transparent the resulting crystal tends to be. Hardness: 7 on the Mohs scale. Density: 2.65 g/cm³. Crystalline system: trigonal. Available variations: 1 to 3 cm — up to 0.015 kg - 100 pieces per kg (approx.) 3 to 6 cm — 0.030 to 0.150 kg - 22 pcs per kg (approx.) 6 to 15 cm — 0.150 to 0.600 kg - 3 - 5 pcs per kg (approx.)
