Quality A Crystal is the purest and most transparent form of Hyaline Quartz (SiO₂), selected because it presents a minimum incidence of inclusions, fractures, veils or internal turbidity. Its superior transparency results from exceptionally stable conditions of temperature, pressure and chemical purity during crystalline growth in hydrothermal veins and pegmatites. Classification by quality is determined by the absence of visible structural defects, regularity of crystalline faces and degree of optical transparency. Quality A specimens are located at the top of the commercial selection scale for hyaline quartz, distinguishing themselves from standard Natural Crystal due to the greater homogeneity and clarity of the material. Hardness: 7 on the Mohs scale. Density: 2.65 g/cm³. Crystalline system: trigonal.
